We started BrasUP with the motivation of solving an existing problem in the barbecue market: The lighting of the fire. We wanted to achieve it in the most practical and natural way.

This is how our first product arose: A cardboard box containing Hardwood Charcoal and a natural self-ignition system, all in one that lights the embers in 15 minutes. 

“Embers” = “Brasas” in Spanish. That’s why “BrasUP”.

But once we got into the Hardwood Charcoal Business, we realized that something was wrong. This kind of Charcoal comes from native trees, and forests that, most of them, do not recover.

That is why we decided to change reality. This is how our 100% Ecological Charcoal arises, produced from organic discard. In this case, we use rice husks as raw material, available in our origin place: Corrientes, Argentina.
